Steve is at the top of the game in tunnelling and mega-infrastructure project construction in Australia. With a 30+ year pedigree in tunnelling, Steve has headed up some of Australia’s largest projects and construction companies.

Since joining GS E&C Australia in mid-2022, Steve has helmed construction for the North East Link Tunnels project. Prior to this, as General Manager for CPB Contractors’ tunnelling business, Steve was successful in winning two packages each for Sydney Metro and WestConnex, before moving to Bouygues. As Chief Operating Officer there, Steve oversaw Melbourne Metro, NorthConnex in Sydney and won another stage of WestConnex.

From an on-the-ground delivery perspective, Steve has held senior roles on Brisbane’s Airport Link Tunnel, Sydney’s M5 Lane Cove Tunnel, Epping to Chatswood Rail Link, Northside Storage tunnel and Melbourne City Link – showcasing unparalleled expertise.

 

An alumnus of Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Steve is known for his down-to-earth approach and remarkable ability to unite diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, successfully tasking them to tackle and overcome complex challenges.
