Rui is a seasoned engineering professional with more than 20 years’ experience in international infrastructure development.

Rui was appointed as Planning Director for North East Link Tunnels by GS E&C Australia in early 2022. Prior to his tenure on the project, Rui held a number of key positions that underscore his exceptional planning and leadership talents.

As Delivery Planning Lead for England’s longest smart motorway project, Rui’s skill was critical to completion of the 51km motorway upgrade scheme. He also spent significant time in Portugal holding Project Director, Project Controls Manager and planning leadership roles on railway, road, hydro dam, bridge and commercial building developments.

A warm, caring and driven leader, Rui combines his extensive global experience with commitment to excellence, placing him in an outstanding position to drive the program for Victoria’s largest-ever road tunnel project. GS E&C Australia is fortunate to have Rui as part of our organisation.
