With almost 30 years of power transmission and distribution experience, Asif has established himself as a technical and commercial leader of large multi-disciplinary projects in the power networks space.

Asif is Convenor for the Australian CIGRE Panel, as well as current Convenor of CIGRE for the International Working Group carrying out research and development in risk modelling for transmission lines under extreme weather events.

His extensive work experience spans the globe, including the United Arab Emirates, Europe, Japan and the Asia Pacific region. Asif has led teams in delivery of engineering design and construction for transmission lines and station projects ranging from 66kV to 500kV, primarily in the renewable energy sector (wind and solar), as well as asset upgrades and network reinforcement.

His experience encompasses all disciplines, including environmental and stakeholder engagement, land survey, geotechnical investigations, route selection, electrical design, and civil and structural design for transmission and distribution.
