The Vam Cong Bridge is a key infrastructure project impmroving transportation across the Mekong Delta. It connects Dong Thap Province and Can Tho City, replacing crossings and significantly reducing travel times.

The bridge features four lanes for motor vehicles, plus two additional lanes for motorcycles and non-motorised traffic. The main span is 450m, supported by two H-shaped pylons standing 143.9m tall, with a clearance height of 37.5m to allow large vessels to pass underneath. The bridge is designed to withstand flooding and typhoon conditions, ensuring long-term resilience. As one of Vietnam’s longest bridges, Vam Cong Bridge strengthens economic links between the Mekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh City, facilitating trade, tourism and regional development and improving mobility for millions of people.
