The Suseo-Pyeongtaek High Speed Railway reduces travel time between southern Seoul and Pyeongtaek, supporting the broader Korean Super Rapid Train (SRT) service. The line, supporting rail speeds of up to 300 km/hr, is a critical connection easing congestion and offering a faster, more efficient travel alternative, and significantly improved capacity along the heavily used Seoul-Busan route. This package included construction of a 6km-long drill and blast tunnel, a station and two vertical shafts.
