Ng Teng Fong General Hospital is a 700-bed acute care facility forming part of the country's first integrated healthcare campus. The project exemplifies patient-centred care and innovative design, enhancing healthcare delivery across the region.
The campus is designed for transitions between acute and rehabilitative care, streamlining processes and improving patient outcomes. A standout feature is the 'herringbone' layout, which ensures every patient room receives natural light and external views, promoting recovery and wellbeing. Sustainability is at the core of design, with solar thermal hot water systems, a photovoltaic array, and green spaces, including vertical gardens and therapeutic landscaping, earning the facility a Green Mark Platinum certification. Accessibility is another key benefit, with the hospital connected to public transit and local amenities through sheltered link bridges. The integration of natural ventilation, energy-efficient systems and patient-friendly environments positions the hospital as a model for modern healthcare infrastructure.
