LG Science Park is the largest research and development complex in South Korea, and a centrepiece of LG Group's innovation ecosystem. The campus spans over 1 million square metres, equivalent to 152 football fields, and houses around 22,000 researches from eight LG affiliates, including LG Electronics, LG Chem and LG Display. The campus features 26 buildings dedicated to fostering collaboration across disciplines such as electronics, chemistry, nanotechnology and life sciences.
A hallmark of the complex is the commitment to sustainability, with advanced features like photovoltaic roofs, ground-source heat pumps, and a central ice-making plant for efficient cooling. The Integrated Support Centre achieved LEED-NC Platinum certification, while research buildings attained LEED Silver status. The campus includes a 27,000 square metre linear park, integrating natural landscapes with urban functionality. This green space promotes employee wellbeing, enhances creativity and serves as a community asset, transforming Magok into a vibration innovation cluster.
