The Hanam Line Sangil-Geumdansan Double Track Railway package 3 involved construction of a 2km tunnel using cut and cover, and drill and blast methods, as well as four ventilation shafts. The tunnel plays a key role in navigating the region's challenging topography, especially under mountainous terrain, ensuring minimal environmental and urban disruption.
