The Doha Link was designed to improve connectivity and alleviate congestion on existing road networks. The project significantly reduces travel time between Shuwaikh Port and Doha from 30 minutes to just 7 minutes, enhancing commuter and freight efficiency.

The project scope included twin parallel three-lane bridges plus emergency lanes. The bridge was constructed using advanced engineering techniques to overcome the challenges of marine construction and extreme environmental conditions, including high temperatures, strong coastal winds and saltwater exposure. Built with corrosion-resistant materials and designed to minimise environmental impact, the Doha Link ensures long-term durability and sustainability. As part of Kuwait’s Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway, the Doha Link is a vital transport link enhancing trade efficiency and boosting economic development for Kuwait.
