Bridges and structures

We’re advancing technologies in structures to improve efficiency, safety and sustainability. In bridge technology, we lead innovations in cable-stay bridges, PSC girders and accelerated construction techniques. In offshore structures, we’re addressing the unique challenges of deep sea platforms and pipelines, with expertise in platform stability, motion analysis and environmental evaluation. We’re striving to create future-proof infrastructure that minimises environmental impact and enhances longevity.

Tunnels, underground spaces and construction materials

At GS E&C, our research and development efforts have pioneered new technologies in tunnel construction and underground spaces. We’ve refined excavation techniques like New Austrian Tunnelling Method and advanced Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) systems, emphasising safety and efficiency. Our innovations in construction materials, such as eco-friendly and high-strength concrete, are designed to enhance durability while minimising environmental impact. As we explore new possibilities, our focus remains on developing practical, sustainable solutions for modern infrastructure needs.

Water and waste treatment

Our research and development efforts in Water Treatment focus on technolgoies to ensure sustainable water management. We provide advanced solutions in water supply, desalination, wastewater treatment, and water recycling systems, designed to minimise environmental impact while maximising efficiency. These include membrane treatment, high-efficiency energy systems, and eco-friendly water reuse. In Waste Treatment, our expertise spans waste collection, transportation, recycling, and energy recovery processes, developing technologies like biogas production, incineration systems, and automated waste collection to support clean, energy-efficient urban infrastructure.

GS E&C’s energy technology research & development focuses on active and passive solutions for improving energy efficiency and sustainability. We specialise in designing optimal energy systems for urban environments, enhancing renewable energy capacity, and reducing overall energy consumption through advanced insulation and system optimisation. We apply innovative approaches to wind farm development and unconventional gas purification. These solutions contribute to reducing carbon emissions, maximising energy savings, and supporting a more sustainable future through efficient resource utilisation.

Smart Construction Technologies

GS E&C leverages advanced Smart Construction Technologies to optimise project safety, efficiency, and delivery. Using tools such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D laser scanning, Internet of Things, drones, and 4D sequencing, we enhance design coordination and risk mitigation. These technologies enable better constructability reviews, enhanced visualisation through VR/AR, and improved maintenance with forward-thinking sensing tools.
